On Purpose 2022-2023
“An utterly transformational experience.”

On Purpose is Something Major’s signature cohort program for women who are looking to live and lead on purpose in their work lives
Working with high-performing women across industries as diverse as the Fortune 500 to non-profits, tech to Capitol Hill, and healthcare to entertainment, executive coach Randi Braun developed On Purpose as a cohort experience after observing three key themes with her coaching clients:
Clients in completely different jobs were asking the same questions like: How could they enjoy their work lives more and feel more connected to the goals that matter? How could they feel less drained by stress and not be so hard on themselves?
Clients were more focused on what they wanted to “do” instead of who they wanted to “be” in their work lives: missing opportunities to level-up their impact and fulfillment in the process.
Clients felt like they had to figure it all out alone: often feeling like everybody else around them seemed to magically “have it all figured out” instead of leveraging the power of connecting with other women.
“This program brought me so much clarity around what I want—and what I need—to thrive personally and professionally. Best of all, it provided actual tactics I could take with me to chase after my goals. Thank you, Randi!”

The Zoom Where It Happens
Here’s how we roll: over the course of four months, we do important work, we have fun, we make meaningful connections, and we support each other. This is the one work Zoom you will be a part of where nobody cares about your title or what projects, people, or P+L you manage. It’s a place to gather with like-minded women and discuss the stuff that matters most in building a fulfilling and fun work life.
Women simply love this program: so much so that we’ve even had cohort participants join us from their hotel rooms on vacations to Mexico because they didn’t want to miss a session! Read on for more details about the upcoming cohort sessions.
“Participating in Randi’s On Purpose program is one of the best things I’ve done to invest in myself and my leadership in a long time.”

What You Can Expect to Gain if you Join
Across the four months of the program, participants in the On Purpose cohort can expect to gain insights and tactics for living and leading on purpose in your work life, including:
Cracking the authenticity code for yourself at work and designing the right goals accordingly
Quieting your inner critic and turning the volume up on your inner mentor
Developing the habits to feel less burned out and enjoy your work life more today and sustaining yourself to play the long game tomorrow
Building meaningful connections with other women who are looking to do the same
“Randi did an excellent job helping us live our best lives. Her clear focus and preparedness were super inspiring and I loved how she reframed ideas and challenged us to push ourselves in the moment.”

How On Purpose is Built:
Developed by scaling the same coaching techniques Randi uses with her 1:1 clients, here’s more about how the program is built:
Built for convenience: Cohort meetings take place twice a month midday (12:00 - 1:30pm ET), so you have one more reason to commit to your lunch break.
Built for connection: Capping our cohort at just eight women, we leverage the best of the magic that happens when women come together, while keeping the group intimate enough to foster meaningful connections. We keep the conversation going between sessions through our private LinkedIn group to support each other as we experiment, develop, and take learnings with us to work. Because cohort connection and confidentiality are a top priority, sessions are not recorded.
Built to individualize: On Purpose isn’t a series of rote webinars with slide decks and didactic teaching (we use zero PowerPoint, for the record). Participants actively discover how each session’s content connects to your own unique work-life through facilitated cohort discussion, small breakout discussions, and exercises, which translate our group conversation into individualized awareness and action. As the capstone to the program, each cohort participant will receive a 1:1 individual coaching session with Randi.
Built for impact: The On Purpose program was built based on the most common areas Randi saw high-performing women struggle with, as both established and emerging leaders. Put simply, she built On Purpose because this stuff works. To make sessions impactful, cohort participants are given a brief pre-read (emphasis on brief, because we know you’re busy), a key takeaways cheat sheet of key concepts from each session, and actionable fieldwork (that’s what we call homework) that you can take into the field with you at work in between our sessions.
“I went from not being in control of my goals and destiny to becoming fully aware of where I wanted to go, and became intentional on the steps I would take to get there.”

What You’ll Need to Have a Great Experience:
The technology: Access to Zoom, ability to join by video, and a good internet connection—you know, the usual videoconferencing stuff.
The physical space: As our work worlds go hybrid, we ask that you choose a private place to join our sessions from, to ensure a wonderful experience is had by all. So if you plan to be in the office on the days we meet, please plan in advance to book a call room, to close the door to your office, or to make other arrangements that both allow you to participate at your fullest and maintain a positive environment for all.
The materials: A copy of Playing Big by Tara Mohr, which you can purchase on Amazon or borrow from your local library. We’ll be providing a 40+ page On Purpose guide with key concept cheat sheets, homework for you to take learnings immediately into your work lives, and all other pre-read materials.
The calendar availability: Below is a list of cohort dates for our seven group meetings across four months, held for 90 minutes at 12pm ET on the following dates. Your 1:1 coaching capstone session will be scheduled individually with Randi following the last cohort session.

Pricing & Registration:
The program fee: Is $695/month, for each of the 4 months. We keep things simple by billing you monthly throughout the program, so there’s no need to pay all four installments upfront. The program fee includes 11 hours of group and individual coaching and our 40+ page On Purpose guide.
Work wife discount: Sign up with a friend or colleague and you will both receive a 10% “work wife” discount.
Asking your employer to sponsor: A third of last year’s cohort had their employer sponsor their participation, while the other two-thirds of our cohort self-sponsored. If you're interested in asking work to help sponsor your participation, please reach out and we can provide a program overview and email template. We’re happy to answer questions and hope you’ll join us regardless. Email us (info below) to request more info.
