High-Power High Tea With Haley Janicek & Randi Braun

  • InterContinental the Willard Washington D.C., an IHG Hotel 1401 Pennsylvania Avenue NW Washington, DC, 20004 United States (map)

You’re invited on Friday, October 23, as we remix an iconic DC tradition — tea time at The Willard.

Please join Wall Street Journal best-selling author, Something Major founder, and executive coach Randi Braun for the second annual Something Major High-Power High Tea: an afternoon of networking, women's leadership inspiration and, (of course) tea.

Gather with other women leaders for an afternoon of connection and conversation:

  • Mix & Mingle. Check in at 12:30pm and enjoy a glass of champagne (or sparkling water), as you network with an intimate group of attendees.

  • Women’s Leadership Fireside Chat featuring Former NCAA coach and start-up executive, Haley Janicek. We’re thrilled to welcome Haley Janicek—Former Division I women's volleyball player and the youngest women's volleyball coach in NCAA history turned creative, creator-advisor, and startup executive at Kit, Haley will share her insights on women and competition—and why (re)igniting your competitive spirit is the secret to getting ahead in a collaborative world.

  • Tea Time. Following our fireside chat, we’ll sit down to The Willard’s iconic afternoon tea service, networking in one of DC’s most historic “room where it happened.”

Early bird pricing is available until July 30th and this event will sell out. Join us to leave inspired... and build confidence that actually lasts (no matter what industry you work in)!

"Thank you so much, Randi, for hosting such a wonderful event. I’ve been to so many networking events that can be intimidating or are not actually productive in building meaningful connections. But this one was so different. I felt so comfortable—and am very happy that I have three lunches scheduled with women from the event. I look forward to continuing to reach out to other women as well, thanks again!"

- Vice President of Communications & Something Major Event Alumna

Additional Details:

  • Audience: High-Power High Tea is designed for experienced, career-focused professional women -- whether you're a leader in your organization, an entrepreneur, a woman in career transition, or a community mover-and-shaker -- looking to make authentic connections with other women.

  • Venue: As we host an afternoon dedicated to empowering women, we’re taking over one of DC’s most historic gathering places for Washington’s influencers (it’s actually the site where the term “lobbying” was coined). Founded in 1847, The Willard was the "room where it happened" for over a century… as long as you were a man. Join us as we celebrate the power of what happens when women come together during this inspiring afternoon of networking.

  • Attire: Tea-Time-Chic. There are no official “rules.” We’re remixing a tradition so have fun with it!
